FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S Movie is Reportedly 3-Hours Long
It’s been a long and hard journey for Blumhouse Pictures to get its feature film adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy’s made. But, they managed to pull it off, even though producer Jason Blum was made fun of while he continued to pursue it. No one thought it would be possible because creator Scott Cawthon wanted the film to be a perfect adaptation of the game he made, which is understandable.
The creative team managed to develop a story that everyone was happy with and it turns out, that the story they are telling is reportedly going to make for a 3-hour-long movie! This report comes from X user Cryptic4KQual who is known for reporting on movie news and movie runtimes.
In a recent post, he said, “Five Nights at Freddy's runtime has been updated to approximately 3 hours.” That’s a long-ass horror movie! Hell, Oppenheimer is three hours long! I guess Five Night’s at Freddy’s is going to be quite the epic horror film.
The film follows “a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through.” You see, there are ghost children who are possessing giant animatronics that are out to terrorize.
The film stars Josh Hutcherson (Ultraman, The Hunger Games), Elizabeth Lail (You, Mack & Rita), Piper Rubio (Holly & Ivy, Unstable), Kat Conner Sterling (We Have a Ghost, 9-1-1), with Mary Stuart Masterson (Blindspot, Fried Green Tomatoes) and Matthew Lillard (Good Girls, Scream).
Five Nights at Freddy’s is directed by Emma Tammi (The Wind, Blood Moon) and she wrote the script with Scott Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback.
The animatronic characters were created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, and the movie will be released on October 27th.
