Five Years Ago Sam Raimi Said That If Marvel Needed Him He'd Love to Work With Them Again

Earlier this week we learned that Evil Dead, Darkman, and Drag Me To Hell director Sam Raimi is in talks with Marvel Studios to direct Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. For the most part, fans seem pretty excited about Raimi possibly jumping on this film to direct it. I hope that he and Marvel are able to strike a deal to make it happens because I think he’s a perfect choice to take it on.

One thing we now know for sure is that Sam Raimi would love to work with Marvel again. Five years ago, the director gave an interview with The Week, and during that interview he said:

“I think they're so complete now, Marvel. They probably don't need me anymore. But if they needed me? I'd love to. It's great to be wanted.”

It’s good to see that Marvel wants him for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The more I think about it, the more excited I get. I would just love to see what his vision of Doctor Strange is and see how this story plays out with his fun and unique directing style.

I’m a big fan of the Spider-Man films that he made, and I think he has what it takes to do great and big things with Doctor Strange.
