Former HAN SOLO Directors Meet With Warner Bros. About Directing THE FLASH
It looks like former Han Solo directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller are already looking for a new directing gig. As I'm sure you've all heard by now, Lucasfilm recently fired them from the Han Solo movie due to some major creative differences.
According to The Wrap, while the Han Solo film production was on hiatus, the two directors met with Warner Bros. about possibly directing The Flash. If that's true, they were obviously anticipating the big shake up.
Lord and Miller actually wrote the script for The Flash so it would make sense for them to jump on board the project. I imagine the only reason they didn't sign on to direct it in the first place was because they were committed to Han Solo.
The Flash has already gone through a couple different directors. Most recently was Rick Famuyiwa, who left the project last year due to creative differences. There's a lot of that "creative differences" thing going around Hollywood.
Robert Zemeckis is still currently the frontrunner to direct The Flash, but if he ends up not doing it, then maybe they'll bring Lord and Miller on. Personally, I'd prefer to see Zemeckis do it, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
Ezra Miller is set to star in the film and it's set to hit theaters on March 16th, 2018.
