Former HAN SOLO Film Director Channels Han Solo on Twitter

Since the earthshaking news broke about Han Solo spin-off directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord departing so late in production we have not heard much from the duo aside from a statement. But today one-half of the former scoundrel team posted a little something on Twitter. Miller posted two words that any Star Wars fan would recognize: "Situation Normal."

Appropriately those two words come courtesy everyone's favorite smuggler, Han Solo, during an iconic scene from Episode IV: A New Hope. If you remember, Han and Luke have a bullet-proof plan to rescue Princess Leia from the Imperial prison wing. Its quite simple, they dress as stormtroopers, with Chewy posing as a prisoner, sneak into the detention block and grab the princess undetected. Only things don't go as planned, blasters were fired and Imperial troops died. After the blaster battle an imperial officer radios the cell block to see if everything is okay? Han, simply replies: "Uh, everything's under control, situation normal!"

Han Solo: "Everything is under control. Situation normal. Had a slight weapons malfunction. But uh, everything is perfectly alright now. We're fine. We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?"

I can't help but wonder if this is kind of Miller's way of explaining what happened on the set of the Han Solo spin-off in a metaphoric kind of way. After all, the scene kind of parallels the "situation" Miller and Lord found themselves in. Two men (Lord and Miller) with a bullet proof plan (directing Han Solo), try to execute that plan in an effort to serve the rebellion (Lucasfilm) only to have things completely fall apart. And when the smoke clears he simply says, "Situation Normal."  By the way, we all know how this scene ends... everyone gets trapped in the garbage compactor.

What do you guys think Miller means by the simple tweet? Share your thoughts below in the comments.
