FORSPOKEN PC Requirements and Features Revealed in New Trailer
Square Enix and Luminous Productions recently dropped a new trailer for Forspoken. This trailer went over features and requirements that the game will have on PC and it’s definitely caused a bit of a stir. As for features, there’s support for 32:9 ultra-widescreen monitors, use of AMD FidelityFX Support, AMD FSR 2 implementation, Samsung SSD support for super fast loading times, and more. Honestly, the game looks absolutely stunning. However, the system requirements are pretty demanding.
At minimum, you will need 16GB of RAM, either an AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, and either an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i7-3770 to play at a targeted 720p resolution with 30 frames per second. That doesn’t sound too bad outside of the RAM requirement, but then the “Recommended” specs are a lot more powerful and the target is apparently 1440p with 30fps. I’m personally interested to see what 1080p with 60fps would require over the 1440p/30fps though. Hopefully, my RTX 2060 and 16GB of RAM will suffice although I’m suddenly very doubtful. Of course, to play at 2160p with 60fps, you’ll need one of the most recent GPUs although your CPU can be about a year or so old as long as you have 32GB of RAM. Will you be able to run it?
Forspoken will launch on January 24 for PC and PS5 and digital pre-orders for PC will come with the Spectra Combo Necklace, Elite Cloak, and Overclock Nails. Pre-orders are now open and if you want to play on PC, you can go through Epic, Microsoft Store (affiliate link), or Steam.
