FORTNITE Update Improves Resolution on Switch with Smaller File Size
The Nintendo Switch is not known for its impressive high-resolution graphics. However, it looks like Epic Games and People Can Fly have found a way to make Fortnite look better on the console.
A recent update to the game increased the resolution of the game to 1140x660 from 1000x560 in handheld mode and 1560x880 from 1390x780 while docked. This upgrade was also done to provide a consistent framerate for Switch players. That’s pretty incredible. In addition, the update lowered the amount of storage space that the game requires by 140 MB. What is this magic!?
I think it’s great that Fortnite has found ways to continue to optimize itself and I wish more developers would do this. Have you noticed the difference?
