Five New Promo Spots For VIKINGS Season 5 Focuses on Lagertha, Bjorn, Ivar, and The Crow
The History Channel has released five new promo spots for Vikings Season 5. Four of the spots focus on a different key character including Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig), Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen) and the Crow. The fifth spot is a new teaser trailer. We also have a cool new piece of poster art to share that also includes all of the above and King Harald Finehair (Peter Franzén) and Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith). All the characters are locked in battle in the poster and it comes with the tagline, "Who Will Rise."
I love this show and I'm so excited to see what Season 5 brings us and where it takes these characters.
Season five begins with Ivar the Boneless asserting his leadership over the Great Heathen Army, while Lagertha reigns as Queen of Kattegat. Ivar’s murder of his brother Sigurd sets the stage for vicious battles to come as Ragnar’s sons plot their next moves after avenging their father’s death. Bjorn follows his destiny into the Mediterranean Sea and Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård) who is suffering from the loss of his wife Helga, takes to the seas submitting himself to the will of the Gods. Additionally, Jonathan Rhys Meyers joins the cast as Bishop Heahmund, a fearsome warrior who passionately defends both his faith and his King.
Vikings is the critically-acclaimed series from creator and sole writer Michael Hirst (Academy Award-winning film Elizabeth and the Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated series The Tudors) and is a family saga that tells the remarkable tales of the lives and epic adventures of the raiders and explorers of the Dark Ages.
The Season 5 will air in two parts with a two-hour premiere on November 29th at 9pm.
