Four Young Women Fight to Survive in Trailer for the Action Comedy SHEROES
Paramount has released a trailer for an upcoming action-adventure comedy titled Sheroes. The movie follows four friends as they embark on a journey to Thailand for a good time, but after one of them is kidnapped, they have to band together, harness their badassery, and jump into action to save their friend!
Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan: First Kill), Sasha Luss (Anna), Wallis Day (Batwoman), and Skai Jackson (Bunk'd) star in the “adrenaline-fueled thrill ride”, and it comes from the producer of Spring Breakers. The film was written and directed by first-time feature film director Jordan Gertner, and he straight up stole dialogue from Liam Neeson’s Taken, which is weird. I imagine it’s done on purpose, but they don’t really acknowledge that it’s supposed to be a joke.
In the story, “When four thick-as-thieves friends arrive in Thailand for a hedonistic adventure, they quickly find themselves in over their heads when one of them is kidnapped by a notorious drug lord. As they fight to stay alive and protect each other, they'll employ their unique set of skills and unleash their fierce loyalty in a heart-pumping battle for survival.”
Sheroes will be in select US theaters and VOD on June 23rd, 2023. The movie doesn’t look that good, but maybe some people will enjoy it.
