Fox is Developing a Sequel to KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE

Matthew Vaughn's Kingsman: The Secret Service was such an incredible, entertaining, and badass movie. There was some brief talk about a sequel after the movie blew up at the box office, but now it looks like Fox has started the process of developing one. The director said that he would love to do another one, and teased:

"You wouldn't believe what we've got in store. Poor Mark Strong will be going on a journey that he never imagined. And we've got this idea to introduce the world to the American branch of the Kingsman."

The news comes from The Wrap, who says that there will be a sequel to the action-packed comic book adaptation that was created by Mark Millar and Dave GibbonsThere's no word though on if Vaughn will offically direct or if Colin Firth will be back to reprise his role.

If you've seen the film then you know the fate of his character, and it will be interesting to see how they plan on including him in the sequel if they do. There is a possibility that it could happen though. In regards to that, Vaughn has said:

“A lot of people are very upset that Colin might not be in the sequel but I’m coming up with ideas at the moment. If people buy tickets in America, I’ve got a feeling we’ll figure out a way for having Colin back.
“The sequel will be ‘This is the modern-day gentleman spy.’ Because Harry [Firth's character] isn’t. Harry even says, ‘There is a reason why we’ve developed weak chins.’ He said that meaning, ‘Look at us, we need to get new blood into this system,’ and that’s what Eggsy [Taron Egerton] is. I joke that we’ve made the prequel to the Eggsy movie.”

The first movie also starred Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Caine, and Taron Egerton, who took on the lead role. If anyone comes back for sure, it will be Egerton.

Vaughn is currently developing another comic book adaptation for Fox called The Golden Age, which is about superheroes in a retirement home. He's also in talks to direct the Flash Gordon remake.
