Fox Is Developing the Animated Western Comedy Series Called SALOON

Fox has hired Elliot Kalan, Emmy winning head writer of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and Jenny Jaffe, writer of Big Hero 6: The Series and the Rugrats reboot, to write the upcoming animated comedy series Saloon.

Deadline offers the following description of the series:

Saloon “is set in the frontier outpost of Timmy’s Town. Kevin (a woman) runs the local saloon, McClanahan’s, where she functions as the townspeople’s unofficial leader/therapist/protector. At the other side of Timmy’s Town is do-gooder Sheriff Stacey Leslie (a man) whose only mission is to close Kevin’s “sinful” bar and run her out of town for good.”

This sounds like a funny and interesting series in totally capable hands. The report goes on to say the series will be atypical and will tackle “provocative topics through satire.” That sounds like an animated Fox show to me! Does this sound like a series you would want to watch?
