FOX Orders a Third Season of Animated Comedy DUNCANVILLE
I’m excited for the second season of Duncanville to air on May 23. I think the show has a lot of charm and potential. We’re still almost two months away from that debut though, but Fox recently announced that they’ve ordered a third season of Duncanville from Amy Poehler, Mike Scully, and Julie Scully. Clearly, the network sees great things on the horizon. The series follows the 15-year-old Duncan and his friends and family in an animated sitcom.
In the series, Duncan can see adulthood on the horizon: money, freedom, cars, girls…but the reality is more like: always being broke, driving with your mom sitting shotgun and babysitting your little sister. He’s not exceptional, but he has a wild imagination in which he’s never anything less than amazing.
Talking about the series, Michael Thorn of FOX said:
Watching Amy bring her incredible talent to DUNCANVILLE both on and off the screen these past two seasons has been an amazing experience. DUNCANVILLE’s entire cast and crew, led by two of television’s best showrunners in Mike and Julie, continue to deliver a show that represents everything fans expect from our animated series; and I’m looking forward to another season of DUNCANVILLE to relive my teen years, thanks to one of the most irreverent comedies on the air.
Duncanville stars Poehler as Duncan and his mother Annie, Ty Burrell as Duncan’s father Jack, Riki Lindhome as Duncan’s sister Kimberly, Joy Osmanski as Duncan’s sister Jing, Rashida Jones as Duncan’s crush Mia, Wiz Khalifa as the teacher Mr. Mitch, Betsy Sodaro as Duncan’s friend Bex, Yassir Lester as Duncan’s friend Yangzi, and Zach Cherry as Duncan’s friend Wolf.
