FOX Will Air Two Bonus Episodes of LUCIFER Before it Goes Away For Good
If you're a fan of the recently canceled series Lucifer, I've got some good news for you! FOX will be airing two bonus episodes of the series that were already shot earlier this spring. They were meant to be a part of the fourth season, but since Season 4 is no longer happening, the network will air these two episodes because they've already been completed.
The standalone episodes will air back-to-back next Monday, May 28, at 8/7c, which is two weeks after the series finale, which left on a cliffhanger.
The first episode to air is called “Boo Normal,” in it "Lucifer and the team investigate the murder of a child psychiatrist, while Ella thinks about a big childhood secret that she’s been hiding. House alum guest-stars Housealum Charlyne Yi as a very special friend of Ella’s who just might be a ghost."
The second episode is called “Once Upon a Time,” and in that one "Lucifer’s mom creates an alternate dimension in which Lucifer now lives in a world where he not only has never met Chloe, but is granted the freedom of choice. American Gods author Neil Gaiman voices God, who serves as the narrator of this fairy tale."
In a previous interview with TV Line, Lucifer co-showrunner Joe Henderson talked about the two episodes saying:
“Honestly, they’re two of our best episodes, so… I think the fans will get to see them in some way, I just don’t know when. They’ll get out there somehow, and I’m excited for everyone to see them.”
Well, now we know when we'll be able to catch them. They won't serve as a proper ending for the show, but at least we'll get two more episodes. The showrunners and producers are currently out shopping the series around to networks hoping to find a new home to continue the story.
Are you happy that we'll be getting at least two new episodes of Lucifer?
