Frank Castle Kicks Ass in New Set Videos From Marvel's THE PUNISHER Special Presentation

Frank Castle is back, and he’s not pulling any punches. New set videos from Marvel Studios’ upcoming The Punisher Special Presentation have surfaced online, and Jon Bernthal looks every bit the brutal vigilante fans have come to know him as.

The footage shows Frank doing what he does best, ruthlessly taking down bad guys. In one scene, he guns down a car full of criminals before storming into Ma Gnucci’s restaurant for a bloody showdown.

He’s sporting the classic Punisher skull emblazoned on his chest, complete with a trench coat that gives him a menacing edge. For comic book fans, the look, paired with Bernthal’s rugged beard, calls back to Greg Rucka and Marco Checchetto’s run on The Punisher.

I also included some additional set videos and photos for you to check out.

When we last saw Frank, he was a prisoner of Mayor Wilson Fisk, but clearly, he’s made his escape. What’s interesting is that instead of going after Kingpin, he’s targeting Gnucci. Does this mean we’ll see him team up with Daredevil again in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2? Maybe, but as fans know, Frank never considered that his fight. He only came back last time at Karen Page’s request to stop the Anti-Vigilante Task Force from killing Matt Murdock.

The Special Presentation is being written by Bernthal himself alongside Reinaldo Marcus Green, who’s also directing. While some fans were hoping for a full series or a movie, this standalone Marvel Studios Special Presentation is still a major win.

The special will reportedly set up Frank’s role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which hits theaters on July 31, 2026. Needless to say, Punisher fans are going to be feasting in 2026.

Bernthal has made it clear how much this character means to him, saying: “He exists very strongly inside me, and I care about that character deeply. I also know that it’s absolutely essential that if we do it, we do it right, and we have real sacred integrity to the source material and to what is at the core of Frank.”

He continued, “I think there’s a reason why that character has resonated as deeply and strongly as he has. In the hearts and minds of comic book fans and first responders and people in the military and people all over the globe. I think there’s a little bit of Frank Castle in everybody. He exists very strongly inside me and I care about that character deeply.”

As for what fans can expect from this Special Presentation compared to the Netflix series, Bernthal teased, “It’s going to be dark; Frank has no interest in breaking out the darkness. It’s not going to be easy. I don’t know if that’s the Netflix tone then that’s what it’s going to be. It will not be Punisher-lite, I promise you that.”

The Punisher Special Presentation will hit Disney+ in 2026, and Daredevil: Born Again returns next March. With Frank Castle officially in the MCU and more appearances on the horizon, the next few years are going to be absolutely brutal, in the best way possible.
