Frank Oz Says George Lucas Initially Rejected his Voice for Yoda in STAR WARS
I can't even fathom what Yoda would have been like had he not been voiced by the great Frank Oz, but it almost happened. Oz reveals in an interview that George Lucas initially rejected his voice for the character in Empire Strikes Back, and then went on to audition other people for the role. Lucas eventually came to his senses and asked Oz to come back and provide the voice for Yoda. This is just one of those "what if" moments that makes us think about what Yoda would have been like had Oz not been asked to come back.
