Frankenstein's Monster is a Detective in a New CBS Series Called FRANKENSTEIN
Mary Shelley’s classic novel Frankenstein has inspired an interesting new drama series coming to CBS. It’s called Frankenstein and the reanimated monster will be a homicide detective. Yep, you read that right! Here’s the description of the story that was provided by EW:
This latest and very loose adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic novel follows a San Francisco homicide detective who “is mysteriously brought back to life after being killed in the line of duty. But as he resumes his old life and he and his wife realize he isn’t the same person he used to be, they zero in on the strange man behind his resurrection – Dr. Victor Frankenstein.”
So, this is an interesting and fun concept, but there was a similar show made by Fox back in 2015 called Second Chance, but it wasn’t very good and it was a short-lived series.
Frankenstein is being developed by Jason Tracey, who previously worked on shows such as Burn Notice and Elementary. Hopefully, the monster will be joined by detectives Wolfman, Mummy, and Dracula.
