Frankie Muniz Gauging Interest in MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE 'Midlife Crisis' Revival
As you already know, there are a lot of old TV series that are currently being revived for miniseries. A few of those revivals include The X-Files, Full House, and Prison Break. Now it looks like Frankie Muniz is interested in getting back into acting action with a continuation of the Malcolm in the Middle series.
The actor has informally pitched the idea on Twitter, saying, "How fun would Malcolm In The Mid-life Crisis be? I wonder what Malcolm and his family would be up to now!"
This was one of my favorite shows to watch, and I was even a background extra in a handful of episodes just for the hell of it. This is one of those shows that I'd love to see return, even if it's just for a few episodes.
Muniz starred in the comedy series as a genius middle child with three screwy brothers — two living at home and one in military school. Jane Kaczmarek and Bryan Cranston played their parents. I enjoyed these characters so much, and it was always fun to see them get into crazy hijinks. It would be great to see what Malcolm and his family would be up to after these past nine years.
There's no project officially in the works at the moment. He says he's just gauging interest at the moment, but that's the first step to making something a reality. Would you be up for a Malcolm in the Middle revival?
