Freaky Final BEWARE BOIÚNA Trailer Brings Giant Snake Terror to the Amazon
Lionsgate has unleashed the final trailer for Beware Boiúna, and anyone with a healthy fear of gigantic snakes might want to stay far away from the Amazon rainforest.
The new survival horror movie pits a medical team against a colossal prehistoric predator lurking in the jungle, serving up some serious Anaconda energy with a nastier horror edge.
The latest footage leans hard into the creature carnage, and this enormous snake looks ready to make the expedition regret ever setting foot in its territory.
The story follows a team of doctors who travel into the Amazon rainforest for a local medical mission. Their work takes a horrific turn when their presence attracts Boiúna, an ancient predator that rules this corner of the jungle.
The official description reads: “Witness terror on a gigantic scale." Deep in the Amazon rainforest, a medical mission spirals into a fight for survival when Boiúna, a colossal ancient predator, awakens to reclaim her domain. In the jungle where nature holds absolute power, she decides who lives and who dies.
Beware Boiúna stars Kiana Madeira, Jessica Rothe, and Logan Marshall-Green, with Mike P. Nelson directing. Nelson has plenty of experience playing around in horror, having previously directed Summer School, The Domestics, Wrong Turn, and Silent Night, Deadly Night. He also directed a segment of the horror anthology V/H/S/85 along with several genre shorts.
The screenplay comes from Tony Giglio, Alan B. McElroy, and Nelson, with Jeremy Bolt and Robert Kulzer producing.
Giant snake horror is a beautifully uncomplicated proposition. Put some unfortunate humans in a jungle, introduce a monster big enough to swallow them whole, then see who manages to get out alive. The trailer makes Boiúna look like one freaky beast.
Early reviews have also been positive, which makes this one worth keeping on the radar for horror fans looking for some creature-feature madness this Halloween season.
Lionsgate will release Beware Boiúna in U.S. theaters on October 2, 2026. If giant prehistoric snakes hunting people through the Amazon sounds like your kind of horror movie, this looks like a fun way to kick off October.
