Freddie Mercury Needs Higher Note in This Clip From BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY
20th Century Fox has released a new clip from the upcoming Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody. The clip gives us a taste of what looks to be a great little scene where Queen frontman Freddie Mercury (Rami Malek) is trying to get a higher note from one of his bandmates while they are recording the legendary song "Bohemian Rapsody". Obviously, Mercury was always striving for perfection in his music. I really love what I've seen from this film so far and I'm excited about it.
Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music, and their extraordinary lead singer Mercury, who defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet. The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercury’s lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. In the process, cementing the legacy of a band that was always more like a family and who continue to inspire outsiders, dreamers, and music lovers to this day.
Bryan Singer was the original director of the film but was fired in the middle of production and replaced with Dexter Fletcher (Eddie the Eagle). The other Queen band members will be played by Joe Mazzello, Ben Hardy, and Gwilym Lee. Mike Myers (Austin Powers, Wayne's World) also stars.
Bohemian Rhapsody will open in theaters on November 2, 2018.
