FREE GUY Director Shawn Levy to Helm Marvel's DEADPOOL 3
Marvel Studios has hired Free Guy and Stranger Things director Shawn Levy to direct Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool 3! The two recently worked together on the sci-fi time travel film, The Adam Project, which was just released on Netflix.
These two have made a couple of great films together already, so I’m pretty excited to see that they will be teaming up again for the next chapter of Deadpool! It’s definitely going to be a wild and different ride now that Deadpool is a part of the MCU. I trust that they are going to do some great things with this movie!
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the scripts for the first two films, are now currently working on Deadpool 3. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin, known for their work on Bob’s Burgers, previously worked on the script.
It’s funny because earlier today we shared a quote from Levy talking about how he is going to get Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman together in a movie, saying, "I'm not going to say where and how, but I absolutely will confirm my intention and determination to be the lucky son of a bitch who puts these two magnificent gods in the same movie together. That will happen and it will be me."
Wouldn’t it be absolutely amazing if he was actually able to bring them together for Deadpool 3!? I have no idea if that will happen, but you know for a fact that they are going to at least try and make it happen.
I have no idea what to expect from Deadpool 3, but I’m happy with the director they brought on board and I can’t wait to see what they deliver!
