Frighten Yourself To Death With This Supercut of Movie Jump Scares
Because I don't watch that many horror movies, I'm notoriously jumpy when I finally sit down to watch one. That means I'm a victim of pretty much every jump scare a movie throws at its audience, so much so that the people I'm with will often look over at me and sort of knowingly shake their heads and roll their eyes when I inevitably fall for it. I know they're coming nearly every time because most jump scares are designed to build suspense using traditional film language, and I still fall for them.
Burger Fiction has put together a supercut of 40 of the greatest jump scares in movie history. Anyone else remember losing their sh*t when they saw that now-famous moment in Deep Blue Sea for the first time?
