Full Action-Packed Trailer For DC Studios' AQUAMAN AND THE LOST KINGDOM

DC Studios has released the first full trailer for director James Wan’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The trailer is filled with action and adventure, and at times things look like they get pretty silly. It seems like they were going for a lighter tone here, almost mimicking the silliness of Taika Waititi’s Thor movies.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first Aquaman movie, but it made over a billion dollars at the box office. Warner Bros. would sure love for that to happen again! We’ll just have to wait and see how that plays out. In the meantime, you can watch this trailer and see if the movie is something worth watching in theaters.

There are some fun moments in the trailer and this looks like it’s going to be a wild movie. I’m keeping my expectations low on this one, though, because I don’t think this one is going to be any better than the first movie. Let us know what you think!

In the film, “Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down once and for all,” the official Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom synopsis reads. “This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force. To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must set aside their differences in order to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family, and the world, from irreversible destruction.”

Jason Momoa stars as Aquaman in the movie and he’s joined by Patrick Wilson as Orm, Amber Heard as Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus and Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin.

Warner Bros. will release the film in theaters on December 20th.
