Never-Before-Seen Full GREAT BALLS OF FIRE Scene From TOP GUN: MAVERICK

A new clip has been released from the recent hit sequel Top Gun: Maverick, featuring the character Rooster, played by Miles Teller, and his Navy comrades playing the entire song Great Balls of Fire. The Jerry Lee Lewis classic was originally performed by Rooster’s Dad, Goose (Anthony Edwards) in the original movie, so the scene was a fun addition to the nostalgic sequel.

In the movie, we get pieces of the song scene split between Maverick (Tom Cruise) reminiscing outside the bar, so this clip shows the full performance inside.

I recently saw a social media post that said the most unrealistic thing about Top Gun: Maverick was a bunch of millennials knowing all the words to Great Balls of Fire. I have to agree it is unusual, unless that song is some sort of anthem of the Navy that I never knew about. In any case, check out the fun clip below, and enjoy.
