Full Trailer for AMC's THE WALKING DEAD: THE ONES WHO LIVE Teases Rick and Michonne's Epic Journey
AMC has released the full trailer for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. This is the spinoff series that will continue the story of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) from the original series and it looks like it’s going to be pretty epic!
Out of all of The Walking Dead spinoffs, this is the one that I’m most excited about because these are two of the best characters in the franchise. The Daryl Dixon spinoff series actually ended up being better than I expected, and I hope The Ones Who Live delivers something great.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live presents “an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. Kept apart by distance. By an unstoppable power. By the ghosts of who they were. Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead … And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Victors? Without each other, are they even alive — or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead?”
Rick dissappeared during Season 9, in which he was presumed dead, while Gurira’s character left during Season 10. Both later made cameos in the 2022 season finale, hinting at this spin-off.
Lincoln previously talked about Rick’s absence from The Walking Dead universe in the new promo, saying: “People are going, ‘Where have you gone? Our ambition is to have some answers.” Gurira adds: “It’s a really exciting story to tell. These two people are so powerful and together it’s insane. This is some crazy love.”
