A trailer dropped today for the Showtime series American Gigolo starring Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, Punisher). It gives us a first look at Bernthal looking good in the starring role of Julian Kaye, first played by Richard Gere in the 1980 movie of the same name.

This new story follows Julian Kaye after his wrongful conviction release following 15 years in prison as he struggles to find his footing in the modern-day Los Angeles sex industry and navigates his complicated relationships.

The series also stars Gretchen Mol, Rosie O'Donnell, Lizzie Brocheré, Gabriel LaBelle, Leland Orser, with appearances from Wayne Brady and Laura Liguori.

American Gigolo is set to premiere on September 9, 2022 on streaming and on demand for all Showtime subscribers, before making its on-air debut on September 11, 2022 on Showtime.
