Full Trailer For THE BEAR Season 2 - It's about Food, Family, the Insanity of the Grind
Hulu and FX have released the full trailer for The Bear Season 2. This first season of this show was freakin’ great! This is one of those stories that immediately hooked me, and I binged the show in a day when I started watching.
The series is about “food, family, the insanity of the grind, the beauty of Sense of Urgency and the steep slippery downsides. As the young chef Carmy fights to transform both The Original Beef of Chicagoland and himself, he works alongside a rough-around-the-edges kitchen crew that ultimately reveal themselves as his chosen family.”
The young chef is played by Jeremy Allen White, and he delivers a great performance. The chef comes from the fine dining world and he comes home to Chicago “to run his family sandwich shop after a heartbreaking death in his family. A world away from what he's used to, Carmy must balance the soul-crushing realities of small business ownership, his strong-willed and recalcitrant kitchen staff and his strained familial relationships, all while grappling with the impact of his brother's suicide. As Carmy fights to transform both the shop and himself, he works alongside a rough-around-the-edges kitchen crew that ultimately reveals itself as his chosen family.”
It’s been previously explained that Season 2 is where the show “properly begins.” Co-showrunner and executive producer Christopher Storer previously teased: “It almost feels like Season 1 was sort of, ‘Let’s catch up,’ and Season 2 is sort of like where the show properly begins, once we’ve met everyone and seen their backstory. So it’s been cool to just expand the world and just learn more about them.”
I’m looking forward to watching this story continue to play out and seeing what happens with these incredibly interesting characters! The Bear Season 2 is set to premiere in June 2023.
