Full Trailer for the Great-Looking Western Series BILLY THE KID
EPIX has released the full trailer for its upcoming original western series Billy The Kid. The series was created by Michael Hirst, who brought us the Vikings series. I sure did enjoy Vikings, and I’m pretty excited about seeing the story that he’s going to tell for Billy The Kid.
As you’ll see, the series will paint Billy more as an antihero that was born out of how he was sinned against in his life. It’s through being victimized in his life that he rose to become the legendary outlaw. It looks like a great show, and I’m looking forward to watching it.
The series will consist of eight one-hour-long episodes and this is the synopsis:
An epic romantic adventure based on the life of famous American outlaw Billy the Kid (Blyth), also known as William H. Bonney — from his humble Irish roots, to his early days as a cowboy and gunslinger in the American frontier, to his pivotal role in the Lincoln County War and beyond. Webber will play Jesse Evans, another famous outlaw and leader of the Seven Rivers Gang. When they meet, Jesse has already embraced a life of crime: robbing stores and cattle rustling. Billy is attracted to his wild and reckless character and becomes Billy’s doppelganger of sorts — his shadow self, forever inviting him over to the dark side of life.
Tom Blyth (Robin Hood, Benediction) stars in the role of Billy The Kid, and the show is set to premiere on EPIX April 24th, 2022.
