Full Trailer Released For Nathan Fillion's New Cop Series THE ROOKIE

ABC has released the full trailer for Nathan Fillion's new series project The Rookie. This looks like such a great project for Fillion, who plays a forty-year-old rookie cop for the LAPD. The new trailer gives us a much better idea of what kind of series this will be and shows us what prompts Fillion's character to become a police officer. I think it looks great and the fact that it's based on a true story makes it even more appealing.

Nathan Fillion plays John Nolan, the oldest rookie in the LAPD. At an age where most are at the peak of their career, Nolan cast aside his comfortable, small town life and moved to L.A. to pursue his dream of being a cop. Now, surrounded by rookies twenty years his junior, Nolan must navigate the dangerous, humorous and unpredictable world of a “young” cop, determined to make his second shot at life count.

The series was created by former Castle executive producer/co-showrunner Alexi Hawley and it's set to premiere on ABC soon. Watch the promo below and let us know if this is a show that you'll be checking out.

Nathan Fillion is The Rookie. Starting over isn't easy, especially for small-town guy John Nolan who, after a life-altering incident, is pursuing his dream of being an LAPD officer. As the force's oldest rookie, he's met with skepticism from some higher-ups who see him as just a walking midlife crisis.
