Fun and Stylish New "Season of the Witch" Trailer for SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK
I’ve got a great new trailer to share with you today for producer Guillermo del Toro and director André Øvredal‘s film adaptation of the horror book series Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark. The trailer is called “Season of the Witch,” and it features Lana Del Rey's cover of Donovan's song "Season of the Witch."
One of the things that I like about this trailer is that it incorporates the the haunting and macabre art from the classic book series that the film is based on. Like the books, this film is going to be a playful horror story that both kids and adult audiences can enjoy.
The film is set in 1968 in America, “Change is blowing in the wind...but seemingly far removed from the unrest in the cities is the small town of Mill Valley where for generations, the shadow of the Bellows family has loomed large. It is in their mansion on the edge of town that Sarah, a young girl with horrible secrets, turned her tortured life into a series of scary stories, written in a book that has transcended time—stories that have a way of becoming all too real for a group of teenagers who discover Sarah’s terrifying home."
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark lands in theaters on August 9th.
