Fun Featurette For THE NAKED GUN is a PSA For How Hollywood Needs Your Help To Save Comedy

"For the price of one movie ticket, and you can help rescue a comedy. And in the process, you'll get to share a smile, a laugh, and the occasional groan with the people in your very own community. Right now there's a comedy movie that needs you..."

A new “Comedy” featurette has been released from the upcoming comedy The Naked Gun. It’s like a PSA for how Hollywood need our help to sve comedy.

The video features Liam Neeson looking to convince audiences to buy a ticket and help save comedies in Hollywood because not a lot of them are being made these days.

The film is a remake of the 1988 movie of the same name starring Leslie Nielsen, and this time, Liam Neeson is taking over as his son, Frank Drebin Jr. Neeson is joined in the cast by Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, CCH Pounder, Kevin Durand, Cody Rhodes, Liza Koshy, Eddie Yu, and Danny Huston.

The film is directed by Akiva Schaffer (Hot Rod, The Watch, Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers) from a screenplay co-written by Schaffer, Dan Gregor, and Doug Mand, based on the The Naked Gun movies and Police Squad! series.

It's produced by Seth MacFarlane, who is featured in the video, along with some of the stars of the film, who talk about their love of the original franchise, as well as the fun they had in making this movie.

Check it out below, and watch The Naked Gun in theatres on August 1st.
