Fun First Look Clip From RICK AND MORTY Season 8
Adult Swim released a surprise early look at Rick & Morty Season 8 during their New York Comic-Con panel. This is an unfinished animatic clip from the series, but all the funny comedy that we enjoy about the series is still there.
In it, we see Rick and Morty listening to a podcast as they are on their next adventure. In the process, they come across a ship floating through the galaxy with all of its crew members in the form of stasis.
Things take a turn for the worse when Rick decides to steal hyper coal from the vessel and they end up accidentally waking up the aliens.
The clip comes after it was announced that the show had been renewed for two new seasons! This means we should be expecting new episodes of the show through 2029.
The show was created by Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, and it follows a sociopathic genius scientist who drags his inherently timid grandson on insanely dangerous adventures across the universe.
Harmon said in a statement: “Nobody wants a universe without Rick and Morty,. Fortunately, the list of places to go remains infinite.”
Writer and showrunner Scott Marder added, “I couldn’t be prouder to have taken this baton pass of a lifetime during Rick and Morty’s fourth season and get us to Season 10. Getting to go beyond that now is such a gift I can’t wait to give our fans. Rick and Morty – a hundred years – forever!”
It features the voice cast of Ian Cardoni as Rick and Harry Belden as Morty—beginning in Season 7 following Roiland’s exit — as well as Chris Parnell, Spencer Grammer, Sarah Chalke and Harmon, to name a few.
