Fun New SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME TV Spot; The Film Will Have a Big Holiday Weekend Opening
We have a cool new TV spot for you to check out today for Spider-Man: Far From Home, that gives us a pretty good look at the new suit that has been rumored to have been left to Peter by Tony before he passed. The clip focuses a bit about the hardship Peter is facing in the wake of the events of Avengers: Endgame, as he is trying to navigate his role in the world as a superhero without the guidance of his mentor and friend, Tony Stark. It’s especially difficult as the world is also mourning, so he is reminded of his personal pain everywhere he goes.
I’m so freaking excited for this movie. It is said to be the actual final movie in the third phase of the MCU that will usher in the next path, characters, story that we will follow into the future of the Marvel Universe(s). And fans are expected to head to the theater in droves this Fourth of July weekend to check it out. Variety reports that “according to early tracking, Sony’s Marvel Comic entry is expected to earn $154 million during its first six days of release.”
So it makes sense that the movie’s original release date of July 5th got pushed up to July 2nd. Lots of people have the day off on Independence Day, so having a blockbuster in theaters is just a no brainer. The film’s first installment, Spider-Man: Homecoming made $117 million in its opening weekend, and went on to earn $334 million in North America and a mighty $880 million worldwide. So this sequel could actually soar above that number.
I’m so crazy excited for the first week in July! We’ve got Spider-Man: Far From Home, Stranger Things, celebrating the 4th of July, my daughter’s birthday, and my anniversary all rolled into a weekend! What are you most excited for? How will you be spending the holiday? As always, let us know, and check out the spot below.
