Fun New Trailer for Guy Ritchie's Crime Comedy THE GENTLEMEN - "It's Gonna Get Messy"
We’ve got another fun trailer for you to check out today for director Guy Ritchie‘s upcoming crime action-comedy The Gentlemen. The film is in the same vein as Ritchie’s earlier film work, such as Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch. The trailer offers some more new footage to enjoy, and this looks like it’s going to be a wildly entertaining flick.
The story for the film explores the “collision between European ‘old money’ and the modern marijuana industry. It follows a British drug lord attempting to cash out on his highly profitable empire by selling it off to a dynasty of Oklahoma billionaires.”
Matthew McConaughey stars in the film as Mickey Pearson, the lord over a massive marijuana empire in London. However, when word gets out that he might be dropping out of the business, he’s challenged by a young up-and-comer played by Henry Golding, and more people come out in an effort to fill the void that might be left.
The film has an impressive cast that also includes Hugh Grant, Collin Farrell, Charlie Hunnam, Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey), Jeremy Strong (Succession), and Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes).
Here is the synopsis for The Gentlemen:
THE GENTLEMEN follows American expat Mickey Pearson (Matthew McConaughey) who built a highly profitable marijuana empire in London. When word gets out that he’s looking to cash out of the business forever it triggers plots, schemes, bribery and blackmail in an attempt to steal his domain out from under him.
