Fun New Trailer for Season 2 of Netflix Hit Drama Series SWEET MAGNOLIAS
Netflix has released a new trailer for the hit drama series Sweet Magnolias. The show stars JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Brooke Elliott, and Heather Headley as three best friends who live in Georgia, and support each other through life’s ups and downs. The story is taken from the novel Sweet Magnolias by Sherryl Woods.
Season one followed Maddie Townsend (Swisher) as she was going through a divorce from her husband (Chris Klein), who left her for a younger woman (Jamie Lynn Spears). But things are looking up as she develops a new relationship with her son’s coach, Cal (Justin Bruening). The series also follows Maddie’s best friends, chef Dana Sue Sullivan (Elliott), who owns Sullivan's restaurant; and ambitious attorney Helen Decatur (Headley), who bought an historic mansion in town and turned it into a spa for women in the community with Maddie and Dana Sue.
Season 2 will return and answer the questions left at the end of the first season, namely, who was hurt in the cliffhanger car crash, the success of the new business, and where each of the ladies’ relationships are heading.
This was a fun series to binge during the quarantine, and I’m excited to get back to it. Check out the trailer below, and watch Sweet Magnolias season 2 on Netflix on February 4th.
