Fun Trailer for Hulu's Quirky Action Comedy Series INTERIOR CHINATOWN Starring Jimmy O. Yang
A fun trailer for Hulu’s action comedy series Interior Chinatown has been released, starring Jimmy O. Yang as Willis, Ronny Chieng, Chloe Bennet, Lisa Gilroy, Sullivan Jones, Archie Kao, and Diana Lin.
The series is created and written by Charles Yu, based on Yu's book of the same name, with writing by Eva Anderson, Naiem Bouier, Greg Cabrera, Keiko Green, Matthew Okumura, Lauren Otero, Alex Russell, Saba Saghafi, and Tiffany So.
Episodes of the show are directed by Stephanie Laing, John Lee, Pete Chatmon, Jaffar Mahmood, Ben Sinclair, Anu Valia, Alice Wu, and Taika Waititi.
The synopsis reads: “Based on Charles Yu's award-winning book of the same name, the show follows the story of Willis Wu, a background character trapped in a police procedural called "Black & White."
“Relegated to the background, Willis goes through the motions of his on-screen job, waiting tables, dreaming about a world beyond Chinatown and aspiring to be the lead of his own story.
“When Willis inadvertently becomes a witness to a crime, he begins to unravel a criminal web within Chinatown, while discovering his own family’s buried history and what it feels like to be in the spotlight.”
This looks like it’s going to be a great original series! The story feels fresh and exciting, and it has a great comedic tone. I look forward to watching it.
