Fun Trailer for Netflix Original THE MAIN EVENT Makes a Kid's WWE Dreams Come True With a Magical Mask
We have a fun trailer for you to check out for the upcoming Netflix original movie The Main Event. The film follows a kid who is a huge fan of the WWE, but is picked on at school and wishes he could have the strength and confidence of his heroes in the ring. The movie is directed by Jay Karas (Teachers, Splitting Up Together), and stars Seth Carr (Black Panther, Breaking In), Adam Pally (Happy Endings, The Mindy Project), and Tichina Arnold (Little Shop of Horrors, Martin).
Here’s the synopsis:
After discovering a magical mask, an 11-year-old boy enters a competition to become the next WWE superstar. When 11-year-old Leo Thompson (Seth Carr) discovers a magical wrestling mask that grants him super strength, he uses it to enter a WWE competition. With the support of his grandmother (Tichina Arnold), Leo will do whatever it takes to achieve his dream of becoming a WWE Superstar. Can one kid win it all, in the face of epic challengers in the ring? Directed by Jay Karas, THE MAIN EVENT co-stars Adam Pally, Ken Marino, and features WWE Superstars Kofi Kingston, The Miz and Sheamus.
I showed this to my nine year old son today, and he is so excited! He can’t wait for this movie, and I am always happy to have another family movie to add to our list for movie night.
