Fun Trailer for the Disaster Teen Comedy Film Y2K From Comedian Kyle Mooney
A24 has released a trailer for a bloody disaster teen comedy film titled Y2K which looks like a ton of fun! The movie is set on New Year’s Eve in 1999, and Y2K causes technology to run amok and kill.
The brief plot summary reads: “On the last night of 1999, two high school juniors crash a New Years Eve party, only to find themselves fighting for their lives in this dial-up disaster comedy.”
Y2K comes from actor/comedian/writer and former Saturday Night Live cast member Kyle Mooney, who makes his directorial feature debut with the movie from a screenplay co-written with producer Evan Winter.
The movie stars Jaeden Martell (It, Mr. Harrigan’s Phone) and Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2) star as the main characters.
They are joined by Rachel Zegler (West Side Story), Lachlan Watson (Chucky, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Mason Gooding (Scream 2022, Scream VI), The Kid Laroi, Tim Heidecker (Us), Eduardo Franco (Stranger Things), Miles Robbins (Daniel Isn’t Real, Halloween 2018), Alicia Silverstone (The Killing of a Sacred Deer, The Lodge), Fred Hechinger (Fear Street), Daniel Zolghadri (Funny Pages) and Fred Durst
The movie was produced by Jonah Hill, Evan Winter, Matt Dines, Alison Goodwin, Chris Storer, and Cooper Wehde.
Y2K will be released in theaters on December 6, 2024. This movie is going to deliver a good time!
