Funko POP! Reveals Teenage Groot Figure From GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2
Funko has a new Groot POP! vinyl figure from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 for collectors. This is the teenage Groot figure!
Teenage Groot makes a hilarious first appearance in one of the five post-credits scenes in the film. He ended up throwing a lot of attitude to Peter Quill, who is frustrated with him. It was a fun little surprise that fans weren't expecting.
I'd love to see that relationship explored more in the movies. They had a nice father and son relationship in the movie and then at the end with baby Groot sitting on Peter's lap listening to the song "Father and Son" by Cat Stevens.
Anyway, the teenage Groot POP! figure is currently available for order exclusively on Amazon. I also found this other version of teenage Groot online as well that will eventually be available. It was posted on Amazon then pulled off for some reason.
