Funny New Clip From Netflix Comedy YOU PEOPLE Starring Eddie Murphy and Jonah Hill

A funny new clip has been released by Netflix from their upcoming comedy, You People, which is hitting the streamer this weekend. The clip features two of the film’s stars, Eddie Murphy and Jonah Hill, as a father of a daughter and the man who is looking to marry that daughter.

The scenes featured in trailers and clips for this movie so far look really funny, and next level awkward. It’s a modern-day Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, and while, for most people, interracial relationships are way less taboo than they were in the 1960s, there are still cultural differences between some families that seem to be addressed in the movie, as well as just a general overly protective relationship exhibited by Murphy’s father role in the film.

The two are joined in the film by Lauren London, David Duchovny, Nia Long, Sam Jay, Elliott Gould, Travis Bennett, Molly Gordon, Rhea Perlman, Deon Cole, Andrea Savage, Mike Epps, Emily Arlook, Alani La La Anthony, Bryan Greenberg, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

You People is directed by Kenya Barris from a screenplay he co-wrote with Hill.

The synopsis reads:

“A new couple and their families find themselves examining modern love and family dynamics amidst clashing cultures, societal expectations, and generational differences in this comedy from Kenya Barris.”

Check out the clip below, and watch You People on Netflix starting this Friday, January 27th.
