(FUTURE) CULT CLASSIC Adds Justin Bartha and Geoffrey Owens to the Cast

Syfy has a new show coming up called (Future) Cult Classic, and it has just added two new members to the cast: Justin Bartha and Geoffrey Owens. Bartha will be playing Jeff. Jeff is the father of Bree (played by Emily Alyn Lind), who used to be a successful true-crime novelist. Unfortunately, murder has all but been eradicated which left his career to dry up, leaving him in a desperate place. Owens on the other hand will be Detective Moscowitz who is “an old-school cop out of his element in a tech-based society. Although he's rusty, his instincts quickly return when an old-school string of murders shocks his community.”

The pilot, set 18 years in the future, centers on a group of teenagers whose community is rocked by a serial killer obsessed with ‘90s slasher films. The teens realize they’re being targeted and decide to track down the killer themselves, before it’s too late.

(Future) Cult Classic is one of the two pilots that Syfy ordered with the other being Cipher. Are you excited to see this show? I think it sounds like it has potential.
