FX Announces FARGO's Season Three Premiere Date
If you are a fan of the excellent FX series Fargo, I’ve got some good news for you! The network has announced the season three premiere date iss Wednesday, April 19, which is not that far away!
The third season of the highly acclaimed series is set in 2010 and will star Ewan McGregor playing twins Emmit and Ray Stussy as well as Carrie Coon, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and David Thewlis. That is a bang up cast, you guys. The series is currently filming.
Speaking about creator Noah Hawley’s approach to the near-contemporary setting of the upcoming season, executive producer Warren Littlefield told press at the Television Critics Association,
“Noah is enjoying that technology in many ways is supposed to unite; and, in fact, perhaps that’s not what happens at all. And so I think, visually and aesthetically, you’ll see Noah commenting on a world Carrie [where] has a scene where she’s going to be on a plane, and she notices everyone around her has their heads down and their face in their phone, and no one is communicating. No one is talking, and I think, from her perspective, that seems rather strange. That seems very alien. So Noah is going to have a lot of fun, I think, commenting on and embracing the world as it is almost today.”
That sounds… not that interesting, but given the show’s track record, I’m going to assume that the execution is better than the description.
