FX Renews Marvel's LEGION For Season 3!
Marvel's FX series Legion has been one hall of a mind trip! If you aren't watching this X-Men-inspired series, you're missing out on something awesome. FX realizes that they have something special with this psychedelic superhero drama, which is why they are renewing it for a third season! FX original programming president Eric Schrier had this to say in a statement:
"Legion has redefined the superhero drama and exceeded all expectations as the intensity and revelation build through the second season. We are incredibly proud of Noah Hawley’s achievement and are honored to continue the series as it pushes the boundaries of conventional television storytelling. We are also grateful for the contributions of our executive producers, John Cameron, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, and Jeph Loeb with Marvel Television, as well as our outstanding cast and crew of this groundbreaking show.”
The series is based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, the series follows a troubled mutant named David Haller (Dan Stevens), a man who believed himself to be schizophrenic only to discover that he may actually be the most powerful mutant the world has ever seen.
Haller is such a fascinating and complex character to play with and this Legion series is handling him and his story brilliantly. I'm so happy that FX is going to continue to tell his story!
Noah Hawley is the creator and executive producer on the series, which also stars Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Bill Irwin, Aubrey Plaza, Jemaine Clement, Hamish Linklater, and Navid Negahban.
There are only two episodes left in the show's second season. The series airs on Tuesdays at 10pm on FX. Season 3 is currently set to air in 2019.
