Gabrielle Union to Host FRIENDS Table Read Featuring All-Black Cast Including Sterling K. Brown as Ross
Gabrielle Union is hosting a table read set to happen today for an episode of the TV series Friends that will feature an all-black cast of actors. The cast will reimagine the Season 3 episode titled “The One Where No One’s Ready,” in which Ross is trying to get everyone ready to go to a black-tie benefit at his museum, and nothing is going right.
The cast for the read includes This is Us star Sterling K. Brown, and this past weekend’s Emmy-Award winner Uzo Aduba, who won for Mrs. America, as well as Ryan Bathe (Boston Legal, Empire), Aisha Hinds (9-1-1), Kendrick Sampson (Insecure), and Jeremy Pope (Hollywood).
Brown will play Ross, Aduba is Phoebe, Sampson is Joey, Bathe is Rachel, Pope is Chandler and Hinds is Monica. “The read will support When We All Vote, a national, nonpartisan, nonprofit led by Michelle Obama whose mission is to change the culture around voting by bringing together citizens, institutions, brands and organizations to increase participation in every election.”
This could be fun for fans of the show to check out. The hourlong “Zoom Where It Happens” event starts at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Will you tune in?
