Gal Gadot Says She Won't Do WONDER WOMAN 2 Unless Brett Ratner Is Out

Following the recent claims of sexual harassment allegations against Brett Ratner, Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot is reportedly taking a stand and refusing to appear in the Wonder Woman sequel unless Warner Bros. cuts all ties with Ratner.

Page Six reported that a Hollywood source revealed Gadot doesn't want to be involved with the Wonder Woman franchise if a known harasser is attached.

Her stance puts Warner Bros. in a position that they will have to undoubtedly choose one or the other. Currently, Ratner's RatPac-Dune Entertainment has a deal with the studio that's set to expire in 2018 but is already attached to various projects.

Warner Bros. denies the new report and says they have already announced they don't plan to renew the contract and are severing ties with Ratner. Ratner himself has also said that he is stepping away from all Warner Bros. related projects to distance his name.

The WB insider says it would be a bit ironic for a movie about women empowerment, directed by a woman, starring a woman, to end up making a lot of money for a man accused of harassing women. According to a studio insider:

"Brett made a lot of money from the success of 'Wonder Woman,' thanks to his company having helped finance the first movie. Now Gadot is saying she won't sign for the sequel unless Warner Bros. buys Brett out [of his financing deal] and gets rid of him."

Despite what ends up happening, this is a very honorable thing for Gadot to do, especially right now in the current climate of Hollywood. I think it goes without saying that Warner Bros. knows what the right thing to do is.
