GAMBIT May Have Found a New Director in Jordan Vogt-Roberts of KONG: SKULL ISLAND

Gambit is the little movie that will not die. I love Gambit. He’s my favorite character from X-Men. I’m excited for this movie. However, I am worried about Channing Tatum playing him, as well as all the problems this film seems to be having. However, the movie may have found its new director in Jordan Vogt-Roberts who directed Kong: Skull Island. There is no confirmation, but Vogt-Roberts reportedly posted to Instagram a picture of some Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis games: Spider-Man and X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge, X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse, and X-Men.

The interesting thing is that all three of these games feature Gambit as a playable character and on the cover. Could he be pulling out these bad boys for “research” purposes? Also, I could not find the story on Instagram when I looked which could mean someone had to take them down for secrecy, or someone’s pulling our chain. Of course, it’s important to note that Vogt-Roberts is known for being a video game fan, so maybe he was showing some recent acquisitions. Do you think he’ll be able to deliver a solid Gambit film?

Gambit is currently slated for release June 7, 2019.
