GAME OF THRONES Fan Film Shows us What May Have Happened Long Before HBO's Series

HBO is already developing several prequel series for George R.R. Martin's hugely popular Game of Thrones, but we still don't know which path writers will take. But thanks to some die-hard Irish fans, we already have an unofficial prequel called The Wild Wolf.

The short is set 15 years before the events of the saga A Song of Ice and Fire. SyFyWire shared the press release for the short which explains the plot.

"Wild Wolf Films are a small independent film production group from Belfast, home of Game of Thrones and have been inspired by our love of the series to take up a camera and make something ourselves. The short takes place around 15 years before the first episode of Game of Thrones and is based around the events prior to Robert’s Rebellion.
“Brandon Stark, Ned Stark’s older brother and heir to Winterfell, has been betrothed to Catelyn Tully in an effort to unify the houses Stark and Tully. A young Petyr Baelish, living as a ward at Riverrun under the care of House Tully, has challenged Brandon to a duel for the Lady Catelyn’s hand in marriage. Brandon is answering the challenge to put young Littlefinger in his place…”

If you have 16 minutes to spare, I recommend you check it out. Any Game of Thrones fan will appreciate it:
