GAME OF THRONES Is HBO's Most Popular Show Ever
With 18.4 million average viewers per episode, HBO's Game of Thrones is the cable network's most watched series ever! Before Game of Thrones came along and started kicking ass, the most watched show on the network was The Sopranos. In 2002 the drama pulled in 18.2 million viewers per episode.
Each week that Game of Thrones airs it breaks its previous viewing record, and why wouldn't it?! The show is freakin' incredible. If you haven't started watching it, you are missing out on some of the best television ever created.
There are only two more episodes left in the current season, and I seriously can't wait to to see how it ends. HBO has already renewed the series for a fifth and sixth season, and as long as people keep watching it, HBO will keep the story moving forward.
