New Video Games to Look Out for in September 2020
This month brings an interesting blend of titles. Shooters, adventure, RPG, and skateboarding to name a few of the genres of the biggest titles coming this month. We also have a lot of remasters of well-loved games, so here’s our list of games we’re excited to play this month!
Marvel’s Avengers - September 4th
PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Google Stadia
When the world is in danger, you call Earth’s mightiest heroes. When you want an epic team adventure game with amazing powers and a cool story, why not call the same people? The Avengers have appeared in many games, but none quite like this. This game takes players on an adventure with Thor, Black Widow, Iron Man, and more with superb graphics and deep RPG elements. Players will control each of these heroes and take out various Marvel villains, and we can’t wait to step into the action.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 September 4th
PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One
I spent so many hours on these two games back in the day. My friends and I would spend many nights playing round after round trying to earn a better score than the round before. Between the music, new and old riders, remastered areas, and loads of challenges, this game could be the return to skateboarding games that many players have been waiting for.
Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning - September 8th
PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One
Along with new titles, it wouldn’t be modern gaming without even more remasters! This game boasts an impressive story, excellent gameplay, and an amazing world to explore. Kingdoms of Amalur didn’t hit major commercial success upon release, but the critics loved the game. With upgraded graphics, some fixes, and it running on modern systems, why not check it out?
Crysis Remastered - September 18th
Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One
Another remaster for the month comes from Crytek. Crysis was one of the cutting edge games that came out near the beginning of the Xbox 360 and PS3 era. It looked good, played well, and was a beloved game. So now we get to enjoy newly updated and remastered graphics and we are ready to hop in our nanosuits and shoot some sick guns.
Genshin Impact - September 28th
Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4
The studio miHoYo has produced some small, but successful games on mobile platforms that have a lot of great gameplay, cool stories, and pretty awesome art. Now they are jumping to the big platforms with Genshin Impact. This open-world action-RPG looks great, plays smoothly, and progresses nicely, and those are just my impressions from the beta. Did we also mention it is free-to-play? Yeah, so check out this fantastic game coming at the end of the month and check back here for our review!
