GEARS OF WAR: ASCENDANCE Novel Will Be Written By Jason M. Hough

It is not uncommon for game franchises to have related novels to help fill in the world and lore. Halo and Guild Wars 2 are two examples of this happening before. Now, Gears of War is getting a new novel although the details are scarce.

The official Gears Twitter account sent out the announcement the other day. The novel will be called Gears of War: Ascendance written by Jason M. Hough who has written video game novels before, and the book will be published by Titan Books.

We also know that the book will fill in the story between Gears of War 4 and the next installment, Gears of War 5. While no release date is given, we do know to expect it sometime this year.
