Gene Simmons Is Developing TWILIGHT ZONE-Inspired Series GENE SIMMONS' HOUSE OF HORROR Series
Iconic rock star Gene Simmons is developing a TV series adaptation of his comic book Gene Simmons' House of Horrors, which he wrote. Simmons shared the news during a recent interview with CB, and he explained that the project is very much inspired by Rod Serling’s classic series, The Twilight Zone. He said:
"For me, nothing touched Twilight Zone, the acting, the writing, all that stuff. The slasher and a blood guy, I much prefer [psychological horror]. It bears noting that some of the most horrific movies like Psycho, you actually never really saw flesh being pierced by a knife, it was all in your head."
That is the exact kind of horror stuff that I love. Simmons and I must have a lot more in common than I would’ve thought! I’m not familiar with the comic series, but I’ll have to check it out.
The description of the comic, which was published in 2007, reads: “You knock at the door of the old mansion up on the hill, and who answers? Your host, none other than Gene Simmons, beckoning you inside. The door slams shut. You try to run, but it's too late... you've entered the home of Simmons Comics Group and there's no turning back!”
This sounds like it could be a really fun series! I hope that it actually gets made!
