General Mills Announces The First New Monster Cereal in 35 Years with “Carmella Creeper”
General Mills has announced a new monster cereal that will join its Cereal Monsters lineup this Halloween. The name of the new character is “Carmella Creeper” and she joins Franken Berry, Count Chocula, Boo Berry, Yummy Mummy, and Fruit Brute.
These classic cereals have been an annual staple of Halloween since the early 1970s, and this is the first new monster cereal to be introduced since Yummy Mummy’s arrival back in 1988. That’s 35 years!
Carmella Creeper is a zombie-themed character and she is the first female cereal monster in the history of the brand. The green-colored cereal flavor is caramel apple.
General Mills said: “Carmella Creeper is the long-lost cousin of Franken Berry as well as a zombie DJ with an edgy sound who is always the life of the party. Complete with a fierce attitude and looks to match, Carmella is ready to shake things up at the Monsters’ haunted mansion with her limited-edition cereal featuring caramel-apple-flavored pieces with colored Monster marshmallows.”
“The gang is even coming together for the launch of Monster Mash Remix Cereal: A mix of all six Monsters Cereals flavors (Carmella Creeper, Frute Brute, Count Chocula, Boo Berry, Franken Berry and Yummy Mummy).”
